The Client was interested in using Burmese Teak for their outdoor privacy fence. Since teak is such a durable hardwood this species is the best hardwood for the application. We milled each piece based on the materials list needed to construct the Teak privacy fence for their outdoor shower.
Burmese Teak Characteristics
- Durable hardwood typically used in outdoor applications or marine industry
- Teak has a high silica content that is ideal for the outdoor applications. It is highly slip resistant and can create a perfect grip when stepping out onto a deck or teak shower floor
- Uniformed grain patterns
- Rich golden Brown color
- Suggested to oil teak if being used in an outdoor application to help prolong the wood over time
- Mold and termite resistant
