Project Details

We were contacted by a local couple looking to update their master bathroom with a Burmese Teak shower floor. The Teak warmed up the clean and modern style bathroom with the warm wood tones throughout the floor.

The Teak wood compliments this beautiful free standing tub and shower combo enhancing the master bathroom floor. The warm golden brown tones in the Teak battens make for a cozy spa feel.

We began by hand selecting each board to manufacture the battens out of. Each board was a mix of grain patterns with some wavy and some straight grains throughout. The client had look in mind and CaribTeak was there to fulfill her ideal master bathroom look!

She began by providing us with her shower floor dimensions. Since the bathroom has a freestanding tub we decided to make the floor in two pieces, allowing the shower area to be easily removed when time to clean the underside.

We added additional runners on the bottom-side of the Tub floor to ensure stability of floor to allow enough weight from tub once full. The floors were made to butt up to one another without noticing these were made in multiple pieces. Once manufactured and assembled to dimensions,  the floors were carefully sanded smooth and eased edges were added to the edges of each floor to ensure smooth sides.

We were so happy to hear the client loves her floor and enjoying her master bathroom shower !
