Project Details

We were contacted by a local contractor looking to install an Ipe Hardwood Deck in the Jupiter area in Florida. They loved the color and hardness of the Ipe Hardwood and wanted to incorporate it into their outdoor deck.

They had an older home in the Jupiter area looking to remodel the outdoor deck using Ipe hardwood. They wanted to use a material that would hold up to the wear and tear of the water. Ipe hardwood is one of the most durable hardwoods that can be used in outdoor applications such as decking material.

Ipe can withstand the harsh elements such as rain and the UV rays of the sunlight but is durable to the constant foot traffic and use of the deck area.

This Ipe Deck spanned over 20′ of total decking area. The warm colors of the Ipe compliment any existing color or style of home. The client wanted a clean and updated look for the deck. Incorporating Ipe hardwood handrails with stainless wire throughout.

Each board was Tongue and Grooved for easy installation. This process took a total of 5 weeks with acquiring the material and installing the deck. Once the deck was installed and in place they treated the entire deck and handrails with Ipe Oil to hydrate and seal the wood. The team at NGI Inc. installed a beautiful Ipe Hardwood that will last for years to come!
