Jatoba Hardwood Decking

We worked closely with a client located in Alabama redoing her boat decking, walkway and outdoor deck. She wanted to go with a rich hardwood that is durable and can withstand the elements of the outdoors.  She wanted something that can have longevity over time as this area would be getting lots of use, wear and tear.

Brazilian Cherry or also known as Jatoba is an ideal application for decking. However you must prepare to predrill your screw holes when working the material. It is an extremely hardwood that requires workability.

Jatoba Hardwood Decking

Jatoba Hardwood decking is primarily used in for outdoor applications such as hardwood decking, boat decking or fencing material. This material is stable, durable and can withstand the outdoor elements. This commonly known as Brazilian Cherry can grey or silver over time if not properly sealed initially and maintained over time.
