Raised Teak Shower Floor
We worked with a local client in Boca looking for their Shower Floor to be level with their shower floor making it easier to get in and out of. The clients Shower pan was 4-1/2″ deeper than the shower floor area making it difficult to down into the shower.
We built up the Teak Shower Floor to meet the height of the shower ledge existing in the shower. Since our standard height floors are 1-3/4″ tall normally, we built up the teak floor using teak blocks to the remaining height needed. We finished the blocks with 1/2″ rubber feet. Elevating the floor off the ground about a half inch allowing water to flow easily to the drain. We used roughly 5 teak block every 6″-8″ on each runner. Ensuring a safe and solid teak mat.
