This particular project called for Surfaced FEQ Burmese Teak Wood for handrail on a sky rise featuring luxury residences, as well as for trellis’s. Size mattered greatly, with each piece milled to 8/4 (2″ thick) x 8″ wide. Our team was able to pull the exact amount of material the client needed and surface all four sides in a matter of a few days. They inspected each piece during the entire process to ensure quality and consistency in our milling and cutting process. Once completed, the Surfaced FEQ Burmese Teak is heat wrapped and ready for shipment.
The Delivery
Immediately after completion, each bundle of Surfaced FEQ Burmese Teak is loaded carefully on to a flatbed. Most importantly, supplying quality Burmese Teak ahead of schedule and under budget was our main goal regarding this order. The carrier delivered this partial load from our facility in Florida to our customers freight forwarder in California in a short four day transit. Initially we estimated the time of arrival to be 7 business days, however we beat this time by 3 full days. From there, the Burmese Teak’s journey continued to Honolulu, Hawaii. Nevertheless, as the load arrived in Hawaii, the customer contacted us and advised that he never knew that Surfaced FEQ Burmese Teak Wood could look so good. Our client referred to it as the King of Woods and Wood of Kings.
