We will work with you on creating your design inspiration into a reality. With the assistance of the client we worked closely together to create their design inspiration into a custom made product.

Project Details

We worked with a local customer in Wellington renovating their master bathroom and wanted to incorporate a custom piece in their bathroom. They were unable to find what they wanted online and other places so they thought making it would be best.

They provided a design they had in mind along with dimensions. Rye and the team worked closely with the customer to iron out the details of the vanity. From the total length of the vanity to the depth, width and shape of the drawers this vanity was custom made for the client.

Project Details Continued

We worked closely with our hardwoods supplier and woodworker to ensure the proper grains were selected for the hardwood doors. The shell of the vanity was made using White Oak plywood – 3/4″. The drawers were handmade using a dove tail joinery and 3/4″ hardwood White Oak for the shaker drawers.

We used Blum hardware for all drawers with a  soft close. The base that the vanity sat on was made out of hardwood white oak for stability of vanity. The vanity was being used as a freestanding piece in the bathroom. We finished the vanity with a matte finish Polyurethane to seal the hardwood. This project was about 8-10 weeks from start to finish.
